"It was my first time visiting this restaurant, although I’ve previously enjoyed their food back when they were based in Central MK. The food is still just as tasty, with hearty portions and authentic flavours that truly capture Jamaican cuisine. It’s easily the closest I’ve found on this side of town that genuinely tastes like proper Jamaican food. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes! The only small negatives were that the restaurant felt a little cool on the day we visited, and it would have been nice to be offered the option of having bottled drinks poured into a glass. Service with a smile and friendly. Restaurant was clean, and tidy."

"Excellent experience! We went and had the jerk chicken with rice and peas which was delicious! The chicken was soft and juicy and the gravy was amazing! We took patties to home and we loved it! The best thing is they have lots of flavours for the patties. Service is really good and attentive; they ask if everything es alright and they offer anything to make the experience better. I spoke to the owner and he is so humble! We recommend this place greatly!"

"Me & my fiance ordered the: jerk chicken (in the photo), curry goat, a few patties (chicken, goat & lamb) with a side of plantain, for takeaway. The interior of the restaurant was clean and looks very new. The chef (who was also manning the tills) was very pleasant and asked whether or not we wanted a bit more sauce on our rice, and asked if we wanted it a bit more spicy than normal- I thought that was an excellent option to cater to more people. The food was fresh, extremely well-seasoned and our order was ready in less than 15 mins, though it was not busy when I went. The portion sizes were also really decent, and the curry & jerk came with a side salad. Overall, well worth the money and we’ll be regular customers from now on!"

"This place hasn’t been open long but is already pretty popular. Good food and massive portions for a decent price. We got the jerk chicken and shrimp which came with rice. I don’t usually get drinks but there was such a big range I had to try a Japanese Fanta. Would recommend to come to try some authentic Jamaican food run by a sound owner who really cares about his food and customers."

"Chef, and Chef Saucy have lovely customer service, and the food bangs. Having spoken to Chef a bit, one can definitely tell he's passionate about what he wants to provide customers with. Decadent, bold flavours, tender meat no matter the choice of dish. I've tried their jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtail so far, all beautifully fall off the bone tender. Portions are perfect, and reasonably priced as well. 100% recommend. Go give Smithy Browns a visit. You won't regret it."

"Really enjoyed my visit here. Easily the best Jamaican restaurant I’ve ever been to. Was looking for a spot for authentic food after work and came across Smithy’s. Had a curry goat and rice and peas which was served with salad, coleslaw and rolls. Food was hot and the flavours were incredible. Can tell these guys are passionate. Meat fell off the bone. So good. Service was great. Waited less than 5 minutes for a piping hot meal and spoke to the owner about local business. Will be returning."
